Heather Salazar

Heather Salazar is the CEO and President of Pink Ribbon Girls, a grassroots nonprofit organization that balances the fear and uncertainty that breast and other women’s reproductive cancers bring to individuals and families by providing direct services, education, and support. She grew up in the Miami Valley and lives in Troy, Ohio with her husband, Steve, and her four amazing children. Heather graduated with a B.S. in Psychology from Wright State University in Communication and Social Work. As a survivor of breast cancer herself, Heather strives to ensure that No One Travels This Road Alone.

Living a mediocre life was never for me. After cancer, I chose to really LIVE every minute and to give back.  PRG is my heart and these families mean the world to me.

Gretchen Eckstein

Director of Community Engagement, Dayton

I want to show my children that life is about caring for others and serving those in need. We each have special treasures that we can use to make the world a better place!

Tracie Martin

Regional Director/Founder

PRG is my second family and I have never been more proud of where we started to where we’ve come. I am motivated by the faces of the women we serve and by telling their stories to our corporate sponsors, it allows me the honor to raise money to help serve them!

Jan Middleton

Director of Community Engagement, Cincinnati

When I was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 39 our family was given a great deal of love and support from our neighbors & community. I always prayed that if I survived I would find a way to pay back that kindness and help others. I feel like PRG is an outlet to do this.

Cancer has touched every person I know, more times than I would like to count, my family included. PRG has given me means to communicate HOPE to not just our clients, but anyone touched by ANY cancer and I like to believe that that HOPE is changing the world.

Michelle Speas

Organization Operations Manager

The clients, they are my motivation. Everything I do, from calling clients to doing the accounting, it’s all for the clients so we can continue to serve them and make their journey a little bit easier.

I feel called to be part of this mission of hope...to be a listening friend, lifting hearts, lightening their steps, and enlarging their faith and expectations. If we can accomplish that in the time spent with them, it can be like a hug that lasts all day!
